Primary Science Day 2019
On Thursday 27th and Friday 28th June KS1 and KS2 put their Science skills and knowledge to the test in an exciting, informative day of learning and experiments!
The children were invited to dress up as a scientist for the day and their costumes ranged from mad scientists, to famous scientists, even to scientists that the children knew personally! It was amazing to see the effort the children put into their costumes.
During the day every child had the opportunity to take part in the 'Mad Lab' science workshops and were fully engaged, discovering more about static electricity, sound, and air resistance. The children also got to make slime which was very popular! Then they had the opportunity to continue their enquiries in the classroom with specially designed experiments organised by their teachers. The day ended with a grand finale which was all about fire and its properties; fuel, oxygen and heat.
A fantastic day and a huge thanks to all involved in organising it!
