The Civil Service Programme
The programme is an intervention over 6 weeks with a group of a dozen students and is aimed at providing them with confidence as well as a practical set of skills for the world of work such as a CV, an understanding of customer service, interview techniques etc.
The providers would draw together a project team of 6 civil servant volunteers from local departments to deliver the programme in consultation with the school to ensure that they meet the particular needs for the students you have identified. We understand that it is important for schools to be able to demonstrate that they are equipping students with employability skills.
A vital part of the Year 10 journey is the opportunity for the year group to go out on work experience, from July 10th –July 14th 2017. The Careers Advisor and Assistant Principal have organised all the information your child will need in order to prepare for their work experience. However should they need further assistance the Careers Advisor is available every Tuesday and Thursday lunch time.
